The High Museum of Art is defined by its bright, white enamel-coated aluminum panels and intersecting cubic forms that create a luminous presence on Peachtree Street. This institution began in nineteen twenty-six when Harriet High donated her family residence to the Atlanta Art Association. Since then, it has evolved into the leading art museum in the Southeast, now holding more than twenty thousand works.
