Lake Clara Meer

Lake Clara Meer is an eleven and a half acre body of water framed by the glass towers of the Midtown skyline. While it appears as a natural centerpiece of Piedmont Park, the lake was born from the ambitions of the eighteen nineties. Originally a modest spring-fed pond, it was significantly expanded in eighteen ninety-five to provide a dramatic water feature for the Cotton States and International Exposition.
