William H. Reid House

The William H. Reid House at twenty thirteen South Prairie Avenue stands out for its cream-colored brick facade and a distinctively narrow profile. Completed in eighteen ninety-four, this three-story Classical Revival residence replaced an earlier home that the banker William H. Reid had occupied on the same site since eighteen seventy-one. Its design, by the firm Beers, Clay and Dutton, features a columned entry portico and a facade composed of granite, terra cotta, and light-toned brick.
