Pilgrim Baptist Church of South Chicago stands at three two three five East ninety-first Street. This congregation began in nineteen seventeen when eleven members left New Hope Missionary Baptist Church to establish their own worship space. While the church initially gathered on South Baltimore Avenue, the congregation moved to this current location in nineteen forty-five following a candlelight procession.
