The SAHARA Las Vegas anchors the northern end of the Strip, recognizable by its three distinct hotel towers rising above the corner of Sahara Avenue. Opened on October seventh, nineteen fifty-two, it was built on the site of a former casino known as Club Bingo. Developer Milton Prell envisioned the resort as a jewel in the desert, and its early years were defined by a North African theme that featured life-sized camels and Arabian-inspired decor.
