The Bost Building is a three-story brick structure located at the corner of East Eighth Avenue and Heisel Street, defined by its flat roof and bands of stone along the windows. Constructed in eighteen ninety-two, it was intended to serve as a hotel for workers at the adjacent Homestead Steel Works. The building gained national attention during the summer of that same year when it became the headquarters for the Amalgamated Association of Iron and Steel Workers during the Homestead Lockout and Strike.
