The National Museum of Visual Arts is defined by a bright, minimalist white facade that stands out against the greenery of Parque Rodó. Inaugurated on December tenth, nineteen eleven, it was initially housed at the Solís Theatre before moving to this pavilion, which underwent a major architectural redesign by the Argentine architect Clorindo Testa during the nineteen seventies.
