Concattedrale di San Siro

religious

The Concattedrale di San Siro is defined by its austere Romanesque architecture and the dark slate stone of its facade, marking it as the oldest religious building in Sanremo. First documented in the twelfth century, the church stands on the site of an earlier paleochristian structure dating back to the year eight hundred and eleven. Its medieval layout reflects the craftsmanship of the Maestri Comacini, who shaped the three-nave interior with round and ogival arches.
