Teatro Ariston

cultural

The Teatro Ariston sits on Via Giacomo Matteotti in Sanremo. Its name derives from the ancient Greek word for the best, a label chosen by Aristide Vacchino, the commander who first acquired the land. Construction of this complex began in nineteen fifty-three, following his plan to build a central destination for entertainment. It opened its doors on the thirty-first of May, nineteen sixty-three, with a screening of the film Mutiny on the Bounty.
