Mirador Álvar Nuñez

The Mirador Álvar Núñez is a viewpoint named for the Spanish explorer who, in fifteen forty-two, became the first European to document the Iguazu Falls. While traveling overland toward Asunción, he heard the roar of the water from several kilometers away and reached the cascades, which he initially named the Salto de Santa María.
