The Independence Museum, or Casa del Florero, is a late sixteenth-century building standing on the northeast corner of Plaza de Bolívar. You can identify it by its colonial Mudéjar style, featuring white walls contrasted with green doors, balconies, and window frames. This house served as the stage for a planned confrontation on July twentieth, eighteen ten, when a group of locals demanded to borrow an ornate vase from the Spanish merchant José González Llorente.
