Rudolfinum

The Rudolfinum is defined by a balustrade along its roofline, which is crowded with stone statues of composers, sculptors, and artists like Bach, Beethoven, and Mozart. This Neo-Renaissance building sits on the banks of the Vltava River and was constructed between eighteen seventy-six and eighteen eighty-four by architects Josef Zítek and Josef Schulz. It was commissioned by the Czech Savings Bank to serve as a center for both music and visual arts, and it opened its doors on February seventh, eighteen eighty-five.
