The Archaeological Museum of Delos is a low-slung, multi-room building constructed specifically to shelter the thousands of artifacts unearthed by French archaeologists starting in the late nineteenth century. It is identified by its plain, functional architecture, designed to house findings from the surrounding island site, which was an ancient religious center and the mythological birthplace of Apollo and Artemis.
