Mehboob Studios is a collection of five large shooting stages and a recording theater spread across two acres of land on Hill Road in Bandra. Founded in nineteen fifty-four by the filmmaker Mehboob Khan, the complex occupies a site that was once marshy farmland and a private plot purchased from a local resident in nineteen fifty-one. Its distinctive facade sits near the neighborhood’s historic Mount Mary’s Church.
