Statue of Netaji (Shyambazar 5 Point Crossing)

At the center of the bustling Shyambazar five-point crossing in northern Kolkata, an equestrian statue of Subhas Chandra Bose commands the intersection. The bronze figure depicts the independence leader in military attire, seated on a horse with one leg raised. Unveiled by the Kolkata Municipal Corporation in nineteen sixty-nine, the work was sculpted by the artist Nagesh Yoglekar.
