Il Micromosaico is a small workshop on Via dell'Angeletto, where master artisan Luigina Rech keeps the labor-intensive tradition of Roman spun-enamel micromosaic alive. The studio occupies a space in the Monti district and is dedicated to a craft that reached its height during the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, when the technique was used to create delicate, highly detailed images from glass threads.
