Momochihama Beach

Momochihama Beach is a one-kilometer stretch of sand that sits directly at the base of Fukuoka Tower. This entire waterfront, known as Seaside Momochi, was built on reclaimed land between nineteen eighty-two and nineteen eighty-six to prepare the city for the nineteen eighty-nine Asia-Pacific Expo. Before this construction, the area consisted of tidal flats along Hakata Bay.
