The ruins of the Tenshukaku, or main keep, are identifiable by the massive stone foundation rising as the highest point within the inner Honmaru circle of Nijo Castle. While these stacked stones now support an open, grassy summit, they once carried a five-story tower keep that was originally moved to this site from Fushimi Castle.
