The Railway Museum is housed within the historic Maliebaan Station, a stately pink building easily identified by its nineteenth-century neoclassical architecture and the railway tracks that still run directly into its grand entrance hall. Opened in eighteen seventy-four, this structure originally served as a bustling stop on the Oosterspoorweg line, connecting travelers to the eastern side of the city.
