Xingping Sec. Lijiang Raft Floating

The Xingping section of the Li River is defined by motorized rafts made of plastic piping that carry travelers across emerald-green waters. These rafts sit low to the river, surrounded by the dramatic karst mountain peaks that rise steeply from the banks. This stretch of the river is widely considered the most picturesque, with its landscape famously captured on the back of the twenty yuan banknote.
