Zhongshanmen

Zhongshanmen, often known by locals as the Small East Gate, serves as an entry point through the massive brick fortifications of the Xi'an City Wall. Unlike many other sections of the wall, this gate is distinctive for retaining its original wooden doors, which have survived despite the various military conflicts and reconstructions that have altered the structure over the centuries.
