The Anlan Bridge spans the Min River in Dujiangyan, forming a three-hundred-twenty-meter suspension crossing between the artificial island of the Dujiangyan Irrigation System and the riverbanks. Recognized as one of the five famous ancient bridges of China, the current structure relies on steel cables installed in nineteen seventy-four. These materials replaced the historic bamboo-rope suspension bridge that occupied this location for centuries, with origins tracing back to the Warring States period.
