Wenshufang

Wenshufang is a commercial district in Chengdu defined by its rows of traditional wood-framed buildings with wide, sweeping eaves and lattice windows. These structures are built in the western Sichuan style, designed with central courtyards to suit the local climate. The neighborhood sits directly adjacent to Wenshu Monastery, a Buddhist complex that dates its origins to the Sui Dynasty, specifically the years six hundred and five to six hundred and seventeen.
