The Xiangyuan-Vegetarian Restaurant is tucked away within the quiet, bamboo-shaded courtyards of the Wenshu Monastery. It occupies an old two-story building that sits at the back of the temple complex, marked by a tranquil atmosphere where the scent of incense often lingers. While the monastery itself dates back more than one thousand years to the Sui Dynasty, this specific dining space began its public life in nineteen eighty-four.
