Belvedere Tâmpa

Mount Tâmpa is a limestone massif that rises nearly four hundred meters above the city of Brașov, defined today by the massive letters of the city's name displayed near its crest. This mountain forms a natural backdrop that almost wraps around the old town, providing a landmark that has anchored local life for centuries. While it serves as a nature reserve housing rare butterflies and plant species, its slopes also carry the weight of human intervention, from the medieval fortress ruins of Brassovia to the scars of past ideological markings left on the landscape.
