Poseokjeong Pavilion

historic

Poseokjeong Pavilion is defined by a low, abalone-shaped stone water channel that winds through the grounds. While the royal villa that once stood here during the Unified Silla period has long since vanished, this granite feature remains to mark the site of grand banquets held by Silla kings and their nobles. Constructed from sixty-three carefully carved stone blocks, the channel extends for about twenty-two meters, with a width of thirty-five centimeters and a depth of twenty-six centimeters.
