Palo Alto Restoration Area

historic

The Palo Alto Restoration Area occupies a portion of the nineteen hundred and forty-acre Baylands Nature Preserve, a stretch of tidal and freshwater marshland along the San Francisco Bay. This land is distinguished by the presence of native plant nurseries and transition zones where marsh and upland habitats meet to provide refuge for species like the Ridgway’s rail and the salt marsh harvest mouse.
