Los Pinarenos Fruteria is a fruit and flower stand on Calle Ocho that opens onto the sidewalk with garage-style doors. Founded by Angel and Guillermina Hernandez after they emigrated from Cuba, the market takes its name from Pinar del Rio, the region where they were born. The stall holds shelves of tropical produce like mamey, guanabana, and zapote, while a lunch counter serves cafecito and fresh-pressed sugarcane juice known as guarapo.
