Valois Restaurant

Valois Restaurant is distinguished by its cafeteria-style service and the motto, “See your food,” which is posted on its signboard. Established in nineteen twenty-one by a French-Canadian immigrant named William Valois, the restaurant has operated in Hyde Park for over a century. A black rail at the entrance guides customers through the line where they select their meals before reaching the cashier.
