The University of Chicago Law School is defined by a glass-encased, spiky cube that serves as the D’Angelo Law Library. This modernist structure, designed by architect Eero Saarinen and completed in nineteen fifty-nine, anchors a complex of low-slung limestone wings arranged around a reflecting pool. Its design intentionally contrasts with the nineteenth-century Gothic architecture found across the rest of the campus.
