Vernissage is an open-air market spanning several blocks between Aram and Buzand streets, recognized by the long lines of trestle tables draped in handmade goods, silver jewelry, and carpets. It began in the nineteen eighties when local artists started displaying their work in public squares, taking the name from the French term for a private exhibition preview.
