Stone Bell House

The Stone Bell House on Old Town Square is defined by a stone bell carved directly into the corner of its masonry, situated between the first and second floors. This building, which dates back to the second half of the thirteenth century, stands as a rare, well-preserved example of a Gothic palace. While later centuries brought Baroque alterations that masked its original character, a multi-year restoration project beginning in nineteen sixty-one returned the structure to its medieval appearance, including the recovery of its steep, chisel-shaped roof and intricate stone facade.
