The Fort du Mont Alban is a sixteenth-century military structure defined by its rectangular plan and corner bastions shaped like the ace of spades. Perched two hundred twenty meters above sea level on a hill between Nice and the harbor of Villefranche-sur-Mer, it offers a panorama that spans from the Estérel Massif to the Italian Riviera.
