Catholic Monastery of Dominican Sisters

The Catholic Monastery of Dominican Sisters sits in the heart of Fira, defined by its yellow exterior and small bell tower. It is one of the oldest Roman Catholic sites on the island, with a history tracing back to a founding in fifteen ninety-five. While the original structure did not survive into modern times, the current buildings date to the years following the nineteen fifty-six earthquake that severely damaged the previous eighteen sixty-four construction.
