Manarola Marina is defined by the steep, dark rocks that form a natural basin for the Mediterranean Sea, where colorful fishing boats are often winched up onto the concrete ramp to escape the rough water. Unlike the sandy shores found elsewhere, this harbor is a deep-water swimming and cliff-diving site, cradled by the base of the village's vertical, pastel-hued houses.
