The Mercado Santa Tere is a covered, working market easily identified by the constant activity of a neighborhood center rather than a curated tourist space. Officially named the Mercado Manuel Ávila Camacho, it opened its doors in nineteen fifty-one to serve as the primary supply hub for the growing northern reaches of Guadalajara.
