MUSA Museum of the Arts University of Guadalajara

The Museo de las Artes, known as MUSA, stands at the intersection of Avenida Juárez and Enrique Díaz de León as a prominent Neo-Renaissance structure with an ornate white facade. Originally designed in the early twentieth century as a school, the building later functioned as administrative offices for the University of Guadalajara before its transformation into a museum in nineteen ninety-four. Its halls house a collection of contemporary art, yet the building is best known for the permanent murals painted in the late nineteen thirties by José Clemente Orozco.
