The Casa del Mayorazgo de Fagoaga stands at the corner where the street of Amargura begins, recognizable as an eighteenth-century residence that transitioned from its original baroque design to a more neoclassical appearance. It was once the centerpiece of a vast estate belonging to the Fagoaga family, prominent silver merchants and leaders of the colonial mint who built grand country homes in San Ángel to escape the city center.
