Tharabar Gate သရပါတံခါး

The Tharabar Gate is the last remaining entrance to the ancient city of Bagan, standing as a remnant of the twelve fortified gates built by King Pyinbya around eight hundred forty-nine. While the city’s defensive walls have largely vanished, this eastern gateway survives as a rare piece of the capital’s original secular architecture. Its name derives from a Pali term meaning shielded against arrows.
