The Nat Hlaung Kyaung temple is a square brick structure with steep, rising terraces, standing out as the only remaining Hindu temple in the Bagan archaeological zone. It sits to the west of the Thatbyinnyu temple, marking a unique point of origin in the local landscape. While most of the surrounding monuments reflect the Buddhist faith that eventually defined the kingdom, this site served the needs of Hindu merchants and Brahmins living in the capital centuries ago.
