The Mya Zedi Pagoda in Myinkaba village is a gilded structure resting on several receding square tiers. Its name translates to emerald stupa, though the site is best known for the discovery of two identical stone pillars found on its grounds in eighteen eighty-six. These pillars are carved with the same text on four sides in four different languages: Pyu, Mon, Old Burmese, and Pali.
