Guru Lhakhang Monastery is identifiable by its distinctive yellow facade and the strings of fairy lights often draped from its roof to the balcony. Situated directly opposite the steps of the Boudhanath Stupa, it functions as a primary religious hub for the local Tamang community and is colloquially known as the Tamang Gompa.
