Jamchen Lhakhang Monastery

The Jamchen Lhakhang Monastery is defined by its massive, three-story statue of Jampa, the Future Buddha. Situated on the west side of the Boudhanath Stupa, this monastery belongs to the Sakya tradition of Tibetan Buddhism and serves as the central monastery for the Tsarpa sub-lineage.
