The World Forum is marked by a distinctive round, glass volume that serves as its multipurpose congress hall. Opened in nineteen sixty-nine and designed by architect Jacobus Johannes Pieter Oud in the style of Dutch functionalism, this venue was originally called the Nederlands Congresgebouw. It remains a central fixture in The Hague’s international zone, positioned near the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons.
