Shantang Street is defined by its narrow, winding path that runs directly alongside a canal, marked by a series of high-arched stone bridges and traditional buildings with whitewashed walls and dark-tiled roofs. Stretching over two miles from the old city gate at Changmen toward Tiger Hill, the street is nicknamed Seven-Li Shantang because of its length.
