The Daci Temple teahouse is a quiet courtyard space enclosed by red temple walls, sitting in the center of the Daci Temple grounds. While skyscrapers from the surrounding Taikoo Li commercial district rise just beyond these boundaries, the interior remains a place of low-slung wooden structures and bamboo chairs. The temple itself dates back over sixteen hundred years, though the present buildings were primarily reconstructed during the Qing Dynasty.
