Ani Tsankhung Nunnery is a ochre-colored building in the heart of Lhasa’s old city, tucked into a quiet alley southeast of the Jokhang Temple. It is the only nunnery located within the city proper, and its yellow walls are a distinctive sight among the surrounding bustle of Barkhor Street.
