The Westerplatte Railway Station is marked by the remaining segments of tracks and the quiet ruins of buildings that once served the Polish Military Transit Depot. Located on the Westerplatte peninsula in Gdańsk, these remnants lie near the site where the German battleship Schleswig-Holstein fired the opening shots of the Second World War on September first, nineteen thirty-nine.
