The Half Rabbit is a massive three-dimensional sculpture that wraps around the sharp corner of a building in Vila Nova de Gaia. Created by the Portuguese artist Bordalo II in twenty seventeen for the Gaia Todo Um Mundo festival, the piece is a literal assembly of the city’s discarded waste. It is constructed from items like old tires, scrap metal, plastic containers, and industrial debris gathered from the surrounding streets.
