The Most SNP is recognizable by the saucer-shaped structure perched atop its single, asymmetrical pylon. Rising eighty-four meters above the Danube, this cable-stayed bridge was completed in nineteen seventy-two to connect Bratislava’s historic center with the Petržalka district. Its official name honors the Slovak National Uprising of nineteen forty-four, though the restaurant at the top of the pylon has earned it the popular nickname of the UFO Bridge.
